We take the health of all our guests very seriously, whether at day camp or for a short grooming appointment. We know that as responsible pet owners you can understand and appreciate our cautious nature when it comes to the requirements we've set forth to enjoy the awesome services we provide at Dee-O-Gee!
For the safety of all our visitors to our day camp and grooming facilities, Dee-O-Gee requires proof of adminstration for the following vaccinations and must be current & provided / documented by a veterinarian (no self-administered vaccinations):
*We recognize that not all dogs can or should be vaccinated due to health reasons. Therefore, we are willing to consider Titer test results for certain dogs. Please contact us at 406-300-1356 to discuss further.
If vaccines were recently given, we require the following waiting periods after the date of administration before your pups can visit with us:
Our waiting period policy ensures that guests with little or no immunity have not been exposed accidentally and are not infected with an illness while visiting their veterinarian to get vaccinated.
An effective form of flea control is strongly recommended for all in-state dogs. For out-of-state guests, a current flea & tick treatment in place is required. We are okay with natural remedies too, such as Wondercide...we keep this brand in stock so check with us if you'd like to purchase and administer this before attending day camp or your grooming appointment!
To attend Day Camp, all guests must be spayed or neutered, unless under 10 months of age. Once they are over 10 months of age they must be spayed or neutered in order to socialize with the other guests safely. All guests must be 4 months or older.
Additionally, we do not allow dogs in heat or un-altered males (over 10 months old) at Day Camp. We know it’s strict, but it’s a common policy and one that fits the majority of our guests the best.
We require a brief temperament evaluation for all NEW guests attending day camp - think of it as a simple “meet and greet”! It's free and lasts up to 2 hours. Doing this ensures the safety of all our guests, including your pups, and we want to make sure it's a "good fit" all the way 'round.
If this is your first visit, give us a call to let us know you’re coming in...we'll coordinate a time that's best for all for this assessment. We want to ensure that we have adequate time to get to know your pooch and make sure our space is a good fit for them!
